Lost Forest Park is a 57 acres peninsula, in the heart of Almaguin Highlands approximately 55 km from Parry Sound, directly on Neighick Lake, from both sides.
This park has 50 lots for trailers in an incorporated shareholders concept. (you own a share of the corporation when you buy in Lost Forest Park) see the link to the by-laws and regulations under the "Follow up and contact information" tab.
There is plenty of green space, as not every site is waterfront, some are inside, some water view or beach view, and some such as lot 5 are direct waterfront. There is a vast green space called ‘the nature trail’ which is directly beside lot 5, due to the rock formations there will never be anything on the direct east side of lot 5, making it one of the most desirable lot’s in the park.
Maintenance fees are very reasonable at $1000 plus HST a year, which includes your property taxes. This is split into two payments, one due in January and one in June.
There are two park beaches for all shareholders use, the East and the West beaches.
Every long week-end there are park events for all shareholders and guests to participate in, should they so choose; May 24 is the Annual General Shareholders Meeting, and this week-end kicks off the start of the summer season, July 1st is the annual work day, where all shareholders are encouraged to dig in and help clean up the park, this is followed by a bbq luncheon at the Lodge. The August long week-end is known as “Fun Day” or “Family Day” in the park. This week-end is fun filled with loads of events such as; kids games, canoe raises, horseshoe tournament, golf tournament, volleyball tournament, a parade, a dinner/bbq for all Shareholders and visitors, and the evening closes with fireworks which can be enjoyed from the West Beach, or from the water if you have a boat! Each year there is a theme, and this past August the park celebrated its 30th anniversary.
The “Lodge” is center of the park, and is used for park activities; as well can be “booked” for private/family functions at times when it is not being used by the park at large, such bookings are first come first serve basis.
There are horseshoe pits for Shareholders and guests, also in the center of the park.
One full main washroom, in the center of the park as well, houses both a men’s and women’s side; with showers which are kept we are told as clean if not cleaner than any public or private rental trailer park.
LFP (Lost Forest Park) is well suited to both families, and retirees! Whether you are looking for kinship, camaraderie and entertainment, or prefer rest and relaxation in the privacy of your own site, (or perhaps you enjoy a
combination of the two!) LFP is perfect for you! Please browse through the website to see the beautiful sites/sights of
